NOTE: This app requires the iWavit Premium “Made for iPhone” accessory. See www.iwavit.com for details.

This app turns your iPhone (and iPod touch, iPad) into a wireless USB Keyboard and a Direct-Pointing Absolute Mouse for your Computer. You can now lean back in your sofa and control your PC, all without needing physical keyboard or mouse.

SIMPLE SETUP:
1. Insert the iWavit USB dongle & IR Lightbar into the computer to be controlled, and place the IR Lightbar right below or above your TV screen (much like you would with a Wii Sensor Bar).
2. Insert the iWavit Attachment into your iPhone (you will hear a gun-cocking sound).
You are now ready to use this app. There is no further installation of software or drivers required for your computer, and there is no need for a WiFi network. It is all plug & play.

The iWavit Attachment will communicate with the USB dongle via a 2.4 GHz wireless link with a range of >100m (300 ft). For all intents and purposes, this app turns the iPhone into a standard wireless USB keyboard and a 3D air mouse. It should work on any system that accepts a standard HID (Human Interface Device) keyboard, and an Absolute HID mouse.

Your iWavit keyboard has a text area at the top right that retains the typed text for a few seconds before fading it out. Pressing on the symbols key will reveal more keys. You can also select different international layouts by exiting this app, going to the iPhone “Settings” app, scrolling down to “iWavit Keyboard”. Here you will be able to select your language preference: English, German, French, Danish, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, Greek, and Italian.

This app also doubles as a Direct-Pointing Mouse by using the patented motion-tracking hardware in the iWavit. Point your iPhone at the TV screen and the cursor will move to that location. There is no cursor drift over time and no need to constantly re-center the cursor, as is the case with Gyro-based air mice. On the keyboard screen there is a Left-Mouse Button at the top left of the screen.

So in normal use you may launch this app to bring up the keyboard, then point your iPhone at the text-box on the PC into which you want to type text, click, and then start typing.

(NOTE: When pointing and moving the cursor, you must be more than 3 ft away from IR Lightbar for proper operation)

There are a few notable benefit of iWavit Virtual Remotes over a traditional remotes:

1. Buttons are large and easy to hit,
2. Buttons are easily seen in the dark, so no need to turn on the lights in the room,
3. You can have any number of virtual remotes without adding to the clutter in your living room.

Pressing the HOME button in the upper left corner of the screen will take you to the app called iWavit Flow, if it is installed. This app provides a convenient cover-flow way to navigate between iWavit apps.

The "iWavit Keyboard" app is part of a family of iWavit Virtual Remotes for Major-Brand electronic devices and Computers. For those who wish to create their own custom Remote Controls or PC Input Devices, we have created the Ultimate Remote Control app called Tabula Rasa. With this app you can create remotes, download remotes, upload remotes to share them, search our limited IR database or learn IR codes directly from your old IR remotes. You can even create macros for embedding multiple functions inside a single button. You can also use the app to control PCs/Macs using USB Keyboard strokes or through the patented Direct-Pointing air-mouse technology built into the iWavit.
